I am consultant in general and oncological surgery. I graduated in 1977 from Warsaw Medical University. My first interest was vascular surgery which I still practice doing mainly varicose veins procedures. However last 15 years I work in the Institute of Oncology where I am head of the department. My main interest are the cancers of GI tract (stomach, pancreas, colorectal, hepatic) as well as endocrine surgery (adrenals, thyroid, parathyroids). I am one of most experienced surgeons in my country in this field. I am regularly taking part in international surgical congresses. In 1984-85 and 1991 I was on the scholarship in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and in Bristol in UK. I am member of few international surgical societies.
