I qualified from Newcastle University in 1977 and was appointed a Consultant surgeon with a special interest in Breast cancer and Endocrine [Thyroid]surgery in 1988. I am head of surgery in Newcastle and President of the British association of Endoccrine and Thyroid surgeons.I have an MD higher degree in surgery and fellowships from the English and Edinburgh college of surgeons.I am a member of the International Surgical group,limited to 70 surgeons in the wold and a member of the International Surgical Society. I have several hundred research papers and many book chapters published in breast cancer and endocrine surgery.I have been invited to many centres ine world to lecture and operate and have the infrastrucure to treat and welcome overseas patients.
